1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of aquarium installation and maintenance services by Aquassi Ltd.
By booking installation or maintenance services with Aquassi Ltd, the customer agrees to comply with these terms.
These terms apply to all aquarium installation, servicing, and maintenance work carried out by Aquassi Ltd within the United Kingdom.
2. Services Provided
Aquassi Ltd provides professional aquarium-related services including:
- Aquarium installation and setup
- Aquarium equipment installation
- Water quality testing and treatment
- Routine aquarium maintenance
- Aquarium cleaning and servicing
- Equipment inspection and replacement recommendations
The exact scope of work will be agreed in advance with the customer.
3. Customer Responsibilities
The customer agrees to:
- Provide safe and reasonable access to the property where the aquarium is located.
- Ensure adequate electrical supply and suitable installation space.
- Inform Aquassi Ltd of any known issues relating to plumbing, electrical systems, or structural concerns near the aquarium installation area.
- Ensure the aquarium location can safely support the weight of the aquarium and water.
Aquassi Ltd is not responsible for structural damage caused by unsuitable installation locations chosen by the customer.
4. Installation Services
Aquarium installation services include assembling the aquarium system, installing equipment, filling the aquarium, and performing initial setup procedures.
Aquassi Ltd will make reasonable efforts to ensure equipment is correctly installed and operational at the time of installation.
However, Aquassi Ltd cannot guarantee the immediate biological stability of the aquarium as the cycling process requires time.
5. Maintenance Services
Maintenance services may include:
- Water testing and water changes
- Filter cleaning and maintenance
- Algae removal and glass cleaning
- Equipment checks
- Plant trimming and general tank care
Maintenance schedules may be arranged as:
- One-time service visits
- Weekly maintenance
- Bi-weekly maintenance
- Monthly maintenance
Service frequency will be agreed between Aquassi Ltd and the customer.
6. Service Appointments
Customers must ensure access to the property at the scheduled service time.
If access is not provided at the agreed appointment time, Aquassi Ltd reserves the right to charge a call-out fee.
Customers must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule appointments.
7. Pricing and Payment
All service prices will be confirmed prior to work being carried out.
Payments may be required:
- At the time of booking
- Upon completion of services
- Via ongoing service agreement (for maintenance contracts)
Aquassi Ltd reserves the right to update service prices with reasonable notice.
8. Equipment and Materials
Aquassi Ltd may supply equipment, replacement parts, or treatment products during installation or maintenance.
Any additional equipment or materials supplied will be charged separately unless otherwise stated in the service agreement.
Ownership of supplied goods transfers to the customer once payment is received.
9. Liability
Aquassi Ltd will exercise reasonable care and skill when providing services.
However, Aquassi Ltd shall not be liable for:
- Fish loss due to pre-existing health issues or water conditions
- Equipment failure outside of Aquassi Ltd’s control
- Damage caused by improper aquarium positioning or structural limitations
- Natural biological changes within the aquarium ecosystem
Aquassi Ltd’s liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the services provided.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where prohibited under UK law.
10. Cancellations
Customers may cancel installation or maintenance services by providing reasonable notice.
Aquassi Ltd may charge cancellation fees if services are cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment.
Aquassi Ltd reserves the right to cancel services due to circumstances beyond reasonable control.
11. Maintenance Contracts
For customers with ongoing maintenance agreements:
- Contracts may run on a monthly or agreed term basis.
- Either party may terminate the agreement with 30 days written notice unless otherwise specified in the contract.
12. Access and Safety
Aquassi Ltd reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if the working environment is considered unsafe or unsuitable.
13. Damage
Aquassi Ltd will take reasonable precautions when working on customer premises.
Any accidental damage caused directly by Aquassi Ltd staff must be reported within 48 hours of the service visit.
14. Force Majeure
Aquassi Ltd shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform services caused by events outside reasonable control, including:
- Severe weather
- Transport disruptions
- Supply shortages
- Government restrictions
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
