New aquariums should be tested frequently. Established aquariums should also be tested regularly and whenever fish behaviour, water clarity or equipment performance changes.
Avoid allowing household cleaners, aerosols, soap, perfume or chemicals to enter the aquarium. Even small amounts may harm aquatic life.
