Introduction

Young shrimp are extremely small and benefit from dense plant growth, moss and other surfaces where they can find food and shelter.

Population growth should still be monitored to ensure that the aquarium remains appropriately stocked.

Aquarium Maintenance

Maintenance was carried out carefully to avoid unnecessary changes to the aquarium environment.

Partial water changes were performed when required, with replacement water prepared appropriately and added gradually where necessary.

The aquarium glass was cleaned and plants were maintained while allowing beneficial biofilm to remain available as a food source.

Filter equipment was checked regularly and sponge protection was maintained to prevent small shrimp from entering the filter.
